We caught up with local legend Deborah Sams to chat about creative process in these covid times, and her most recent collection for bassike, resort 22. If you’re as excited about it as we are, you can read the full story here. Or if rapid fire is more your style, enjoy a few moments with Deborah, below.

Go!

My Covid revenge outfit… Probably something like an amazing tuxedo worn with some very high heels.

What I’m wearing in lockdown… I am living in my cashmere tracksuit or blue jeans and cashmere knitwear layered over jersey. I love good classics!

My one piece of style advice… I think it’s important to be individual and do what works for you. For me I like simple but ethically and beautifully made clothes, fabrics are also very important to me.

What’s keeping me awake at night… Ah well – a lot! I am not a great sleeper lately. I tend to worry a lot, mostly about the business which is not fun at all. I think it is a sign of the times.

How I would dress a teenager [unthinkable, I know]… In baggy cargo pants with a cool vintage t-shirt and some good trainers. I do worry about the teens and what they get around in.. much too much skin showing!

Lol, I couldn’t agree more. Thanks Deb!
